The Fifth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group is the last preparatory meeting before COP15 to contribute to articulate the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) strategic plan, the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, which will guide the countries to achieve the CBD objectives: conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ensure benefits sharing from the use of genetic resources. A decision on DSI will be key in this process.
